Why Am I Vocal Sometimes?
A number of people have made clear their feelings that they object
to my speaking out over certain issues. If they object to my giving out about issues that effect us all and our personal rights
(being over run or ignored), they deserve to have their own rights taken away from them. If these same people wish to keep
their heads stuck in the sand, so be it. If they are that stupid, I hope they get what they deserve. I have never been one
afraid to stand my ground. I shall endeavour to bring my children up in the same fashion, to stand up for themselves and others.
Never to be afraid to speak out even if the consequences hit close to home. Anything otherwise - is to act as a coward and
send a message to others that you can be ignored or walked over!
My children in years to come will sadly at times
know fear, sadness and pain. These things are unavoidable in life. However at the same time, with a little help from mum and
dad, they will also know never to be afraid to have a voice too, use it and let the world know too that the individual is
just as important as the group. As parents we must all lead by example.
So in the meanwhile, I will continue to speak
up for those that can't, are afraid to or are being stopped.
~~~~~~~~~~
First they came for the Socialists, and I didn’t
speak up, because I wasn’t a Socialist. Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I didn’t speak up, because
I wasn’t a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn't a Jew. Then
they came for me, and there was no one left to speak up for me.
The Causes Of War and Divisions!
Religions and the belief in a God was created eons ago when the popular
thought was that the Earth was flat and we were the centre of the Universe. Today we know that both are untrue.
Religions was created to explain the unknown and to find order in our
life. It is not needed anymore because we know that there is order and science gives us accurate answers to our questions.
We don't need faith to know science is correct and subsequently one true religion is not better than another.
* If you truly believe in free choice then allow your children to learn
everything, including the opposing point of view, or enjoy your hypocrisy. While my children are young I hope to allow them
to see all the sides of religions, their results of existence and allowed them to make their own choice as
to what way they should subsequently lead their life.
* I don't care what others believe, you can pray to a bug if you want,
but religion can't allow me, you or anyone to be free. So don't be angry to hear the other side, just don't tell me or
show me that your an intolerant person that is not open to hearing the other side or aspect to a point of view.
If you are that way, close the door on the way out,
I will want to lock it after you.
People are getting seriously browned off with religious organisations
for one reason or another. They are trying to rule, control our lives. Thanks to those that adopted the idea of separation
of religion from the rule of state. Sadly, it don't fully stop these religious fanatics from still trying to force their way
of thinking and living, on the rest of us. Expect to see more people, organisations,etc lashing out at each other as each
fights for the idea that one is better than the other. Expect sooner or later another religious based war to start. Such a
war will be conveniently tainted as a state against state war but in the end, for those that have the insight to see between
the lies and propaganda it will boil down to a religious war based on cultural differences, nothing less.
| 17th of April 2007, Temple Bar, Dublin. |
21st April 2007
I was out in Dublin on the 17th of April when
I came across a depressing scene. I was heading to the Temple Bar area where I hoped to take a few pictures. Before I got
there I witnessed a reminder of how a single nation can have its many sides, some depressing and upsetting to see.
A
young mother was begging in a passage way with I guess her two year old daughter. Seconds after I took the picture above,
the daughter rested down on her mothers chest and wrapped her arms around her mother's neck, looking up to her. The face of
that child still haunts me days later. Her face was one of such sorrow and depression that it hit me hard immediately. I had
an instant reminder that despite how things are bad in our our lives, how lucky still the rest of us are to be where we are
now.
The young child face was so sad and looking for hope in the face of her mother in the seconds they came into
my life, it hurts even now to think of it. And maybe rightly so. I look at my own daughter with her problems and still I think
how the rest of us are very, very lucky.
When I came across the above scene, all I could do was give all the change
that was in my pocket immediately. Wasn't much, came to something like just over four Euros. Then I moved on to Temple Bar
perhaps feeling a little guilty that getting there was easy for me. Should I ever return, my pockets will be deeper for them
and I my search for them will be greater. If only to see if the child is ok and that some of that near light has managed to
bring a smile to her complexion...
The light of Temple Bar at that moment for them was the only thing just about reaching
them from that plush district. It's food, drink and luxuries were a long way off and perhaps forever only a dream in the mind
of a two year old child for a eternity to come.
That one photograph now every day, is a reminder to me just how lucky
we really are and just too easily forget it to our shame...
2nd February 2007
Someone asked me why I hated working in the
Whitworth. I have decided to list my reasons. Basically though, I could no longer stomach people like the likes of the average
Joe soap blowing thousands every day that they really can't afford.
* In one case there was a lady that was losing
around 800+ Euro a night, seven days a week. She had been doing it for years and was literally driving her husbands building
business in bankruptcy. She was the companies accountant!
* In another case, there was a Chinese man (18/19 years
old) that had 12 credit cards that I doubt the card companies will ever see repaid.
* There was the constant angry
losers. The ones that would start crying at the machines they sat at when they hit rock bottom. having nothing left in their
pockets and cleared out their bank accounts by constantly going to the hole in the wall in one night alone. You would constantly
see them go thought every pocket individually, checking each one to see if there was anything left in each. Maybe they missed
a note or coin somewhere that was going to give them a sudden win and turn their luck around! As long as I was there, I NEVER
seen it happen though.
* I seen people getting rough with the staff because the casino wouldn't refund any of their
losses. I personally got to know two people in the casino that I later found out had tried to kill themselves in fits of depression.
* There was the man that spend 4 complete days (day and night, no sleep, kept awake by coffee) in the casino blowing
all his bank account
* Then there was the nurse that was telling her husband that she was on night shifts when in
fact she was spending the whole night in the casino blowing their life savings.
* There was one woman that was taking
her 10 year old daughter out of school early so that she could get to the casino early. She lost everything. We (the staff)
had a whip around at Christmas and gave the collected money to her sister whom we found, and made sure the young girl got
at least something for Christmas. The mother had sold everything to feed her habit including the cooker in her kitchen that
the council had given her along with the council flat, when she lost her own home through debt rung up!!! She had previously
lost her husband too because he eventually couldn't handle the growing problem. The law was an ass, being mother orientated.
She got custody of the child even though the judge acknowledged that the mother had a problem. But his hands were tied by
law and he had to leave the child with the mother with her habit!
* Was working one night when a man suddenly burst
in and found his wife putting their savings into a slot machine. He grabbed her by the back of the hair before we could do
anything to stop him and physically dragged her out the door by her hair, leaving what credits she had, on the machine behind
her. He returned the next day and cried in front on us as he apologised and told us, his wife had lost their house, home,
tv, car, nearly everything because of her habit. He begged us in tears, to bar her, which we did. He, sadly was not the first
to have made such a request to do this for their loved one. There was many.
* I seen so, so many times teenagers blowing
their weeks pay/dole in one hour or night. They would go right from work, sometimes in their uniform and couldn't wait to
feed the machines, some, probably in hope of hitting jackpots that might pay off the already burdening debt.
* I seen
big winners, 10 maybe 15 thousand pound winners in any one night and by the time they would have left, they would have put
it all back into the machines or spent in on the roulette tables, etc, ...and these would be the same people that it would
take them over a year to earn the same in wages if they were lucky to be working. Madness!
* You can meet someone
the next day on the streets that you have gotten to know very well from a casino, and they will blank you. They are afraid
(sometimes also if they are with their friends/family) that someone will find you that they know you because of the gambling
habit.
You have to watch your back sometimes because you are the face that they see, of the casino. when they lose
and MOST do, its you firstly they, the angry and unreasonable ones hold responsible.
If you find a casino that pays
well, good, but as a career, no, I would not go there again personally. I know there are nice casinos to work for, don't get
me wrong, but again personally, I eventually got very sick seeing thousands upon thousands being blown hour by hour by sick
people (it is an actual mental sickness, compulsive gambling). I have been trained for many years in self-defence(which was
part of the reason the owners hired me), and at times it did become necessary. Nice places do exist with good payers employers-wise
but I suspect they are few and far between.
I eventfully left the business, I will never ever work for such a place
no matter what money they offer. But then again, that is just me.
Joannes and my world was slightly shattered
today. We found out that our beautiful daughter has Scoliosis. This is a deformation of the spine that further leads to a
mis-shaped body as she grows up. She will get the best treatment possible, I will see to that no matter what it takes but
we can't still help worry for her future. Why did this have to happen? Who knows!
06 January 2007
After three weeks I finally got my P45 from my past employer. Hopefully
we can start to get everything sorted out now. Thanks to Fiona and
Gillian, my sisters whom gave us gifts over the Christmas period. They
were great to get. Jo says thank you too.
31st December 2006
Happy new year to everyone. Hope 2007 is an even better year for ye all.
I have out of work now since the 20th of Decenber and "Funtasia" has
still not got off their backsides and bothered to provide me with my P45 to which I was supposed to get when I left. Needless
to say, on the 2nd of January the Tax Office in Dublin will be getting involved in sorting out why they are consistantly bad
at doing the legal paperwork that is supposed to be done by their (obviously lacking in skills) staff!
25th December 2006
Happy Christmas to
all that look us up. Weather ok here in Drogheda. There is little chance of snow however.
The children, Dakota and Logan are keeping us busy playing with their
toys.
All the best to everyone for the new year.
20th December 2006
"Hi" to all this coming Christmas. Including Clare. "Hello, glad you
looked us up. See you on Friday". Check out our Family Album section for pics as well as Dakotas' and Logans' section.
Take it easy on the roads all. The weather is getting worse and maybe
starting to freeze over. Drive safe or not at all if possible.
Sad to see that Russia at the hands of Mr Putin is taking even further
steps into the past dark ages of cold wars methods of operation with the latest killing of Alexander Litvinenko.
With the Russian secret state agency, the "FBS" now operating
with the legal given right (as a result of laws recently passed by the Russian parliament to allow state officials to
carry out overseas assassinations) to kill outside their own country, they are making up for lost time in getting rid of those
that would speak out against Mr Putin or his methods of controlling the state.
Indeed the FBS in the last few months have already carried out
at least two such assassinations – shooting dead one victim in Estonia and another in Chechnya. The role of the FSB
in both murders has been confirmed to the British Whitehall secret inteligence networks.
Speaking of those networks, word has it that the agents that met
up with the murdered Mr Litvinenko to his final meeting, were captured on highstreet cameras before and after the
fateful meeting with Mr Litvinenko. Thier identies are not being released to the pubic but its without any doubt that
the British Intelligence agencies know more about these dark characters than is being told to the general public. That
intelligence is being kept under wraps and not being realeased for many reasons, some of them security based. Some of the
other reasons why the British government is saying nothing though is because Russia at the moment has a stranglehold over
European countries with Russias tight grasp on oil and gas supplies to the rest of the world.
The British government even though they know who is responsible,
don't want to rock the boat and their economy so they still deal with the killers or at least their masters on a daily
basis. If the general public knew this widely, Labour as a political party would be chucked out of government on its ear.
The latest death, that of Alexander Litvinenko is just the latest
in the line of others that have been killed for speaking out. Amoung the others gotten rid of by agents of the Russian state
are journalists. The previous killing by the FBS had been Anna Politkovskaya, who was shot at her home recently.
She was an outspoken opponent of Mr Putin and was about to expose major facts concerning corruption with the states main
organisations and their abuses of powers given to them. Other journalists alone, killed off recently that are know about and
on record, are listed below.
July 9, 2004: Paul Klebnikov, the U.S.-born editor of the Russian
edition of Forbes who had been investigating the murky business world in Russia, is gunned down as he leaves his Moscow office.
Two ethnic Chechens accused of carrying out the murder were acquitted earlier this year.
April 29, 2002: Valery Ivanov, editor of the newspaper Tolyatinskoye Oborzreniye
in the southern city Russian city of Togliatti, is shot dead outside his home. The newspaper was well-known for its reports
on local organized crime, drug trafficking and official corruption.
June 7, 1998: Larisa Yudina, editor of the opposition newspaper Sovetskaya
Kalmykia in the southern Russian region of Kalmykia, is stabbed to death and her body dumped in a pond on the outskirts of
the regional capital, Elista. Two men, both former government aides, were caught and convicted of murder.
March 1, 1995: Vladislav Listyev, executive director of the newly formed
public television station ORT, is shot dead as he enters his apartment block. Listyev was one of Russia's best-known TV journalists.
Oct. 17, 1994: Dmitry Kholodov, an investigative reporter for the Moscow
newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets, is killed in a bomb blast at the newspaper's office. Kholodov, who had been investigating
mafia connections with the military, was killed when he opened a briefcase he believed contained secret documents.
Anyone that has not
see the film/documentary "An Inconvenient Truth" ought to right away. It warns us about the effect that we
are (but mostly America and China) is having on the planet. Like it or not, the facts are as plain as the your on your face.
It you still wish to live on cloud 9, stupidly think that it is all propaganda by some organisation out there, you really
need to cop-on and wake up. Watch the documentary and then decide for yourself. Over 900 top scientist's were asked to
dispute the facts in this documentary. Not ONE could argue with the facts!
If you still think
its all propaganda, good riddance to you. You are really, really stupid.
I am delighted to see that George Bush got walloped in the mid-term
elections in the USA. Maybe now the world will start to be a bit of a safer place. The sooner "junior" Bush is out of office
the better for us all. Between himself and his father, they have be two of the most stupidest presidents ever that was elected
to the USA. Besides selling out to the oil industry, they have put the world in greater danger by not listening to the alerts
about global warming. The mighty dollar comes ahead of the fate of the planet Earth... and remember in years to come, the
Bush family were the ones mainly responsible, for the above reasons alone.
Thankfully now because of the elections,
the Bush family of butchers has finally been sent a clearer message from the American people and that is "Get Lost". History
will be their judge and its not going to smile too nicely on them.
26th October, 2006.
Madness, pure madness, I get to watch idiots litterally blow thousands
per night in the casino that I am working in. Most of them are not able to afford the money that they are spending. Its crazy.
There is one chap that comes in a lot. He has 12 credit cards to his name he spends that much. Good look to the banks getting
their money back from him!
Now that the litterally 'Holy' row has died down a bit, when is the rest of
the decent Muslim world going to step in and do something finally about their wild terrorist offshoots. There
is only so much understanding that can be extended. The constant voiced onesided outrage that arises at every possible
oppertunity, is causing that understanding to run dry very very quickly. Surely they can see that!
It's about time they started to put their own house in order before hitting out at
everyone elses. They should start getting their act together before what little sympathy is left, is gone before another religious
war extends from one side of Europe to the other.
Glad
to see England are adpoting a policy that only those that have specific skills where there are shortages, will be allowed
in emigration-wise. This is because the floodgates are about to open with Rominia & Bulgaria about to be allowed join
the EEC. As regards the English plan, it a quite sensible one - now will the Irish politician learn from this as well?
What
do you think folks!!! We can only wish...
We are just waiting now for the birth of our second child. Joanne
is understandably just wishing it to be all over. She has carried around the extra weight on her front long enough! Its
only a matter of a week or two. Jo thinks however she will go early like the last time with "Dakota".
